Follower

I have read countless books in the last few years on leadership. I can quote people from talks I have heard about leadership. I have invested thousands of dollars (my own and other peoples money) on leadership conferences. When I am dead and gone, people MAY say I was a leader. I really should be more concerned with whether or not they call me a follower...a follower of Jesus.
God help me to follow you today. In deed, action and speech.

woah...scott, welcome to the early side....doesn't it feel good to accomplish tasks so early in the day...i love it...i fully understand what you mean about learning how to be a leader...either by going to conferences, or by just simply reading leadership books....and i may get a lot out of them, but if i don't apply them to my life and express my leadership knowledge...how can i ever expect to influence people...or how can i expect them to see me as a leader...but them when you said that you would rather be known as a follower(which not many people would want to be...or admit to being), it made me think...can't you be both a leader and a follower...if you are a follower of Christ and a leader of the world...because i think that when you accomplish this...you truly will "echoloud" for all eternity...well, scott, have a good day...

Alex,

I wasn't suggesting that you can't be both. I desire to be a leader in the world...I want to influence people. But not while sacrificing being a follower of Jesus. Good thoughts kiddo.

Wow, Life can be funny sometimes. I was just getting ready to comment you and my mom started saying "Somethings Burning!" So I ran to the kitchen and sure enough our supper was burning. But all in all everythings ok.

I want to be a follower of Christ. and through Him gain knowledge and understanding in all aspects of life. Then if his plan for me is to be a leader, then I'll be one for Him.

I have to run. Talk to you later.

i didn't think that you were trying to say you can't be both...i was just commenting on how sometimes it can be hard to been seen by others as both...although they both run hand and hand...and i was commenting on how great it is that we can be both...sorry if i came across as trying to say something opposite of your words....i'll tlk to you later scott.

hey scott i was just thinking about some of the things you said about going to the conferences and stuff. How can I apply that to my life and influence others to do the same without standing on a soap box?
