Burn it up.

At Catalyst, Louie Giglio made this statement:

"...our mission is to burn up our life for him (Jesus), so when we meet him,
we can say that we lived."

I love that idea. But it hurts when I begin to examine my life very closely. Seems to me that I act a lot out of self-preservation. That I'm not burning up my life for God. It's more that I'm warming it for myself. Don't be confused...I don't think he was talking about burning out. (I have enough entries about that) I think he was asking if we are leveraging all of our time, talents, energy and resources to LIVE for God. Not smacking people over the head with Bibles or handing out "Jesus Frisbee's"...but simply living with this one thing in mind. Give him glory. (Glory: Great honor, praise, or distinction. Adoration, praise, and thanksgiving offered. )
Mission for today: Give God glory.
Mission for tomorrow: Give God Glory.

Question of the day: Would you rather have a lead role in an Opera or be in the audience of the taping of Oprah?

I would rather be in the audience of a taping of Oprah. Opera is just not my style of music, and Oprah is a pretty rad lady. she gives out alot of cool prizes.

I would rather be in the Audience of the taping of Operah! Because I love Operah's show and it would be an honor to see it live. You would have to break my arm to get me to an Opera let alone to be the lead in one.

Hey scott it's Mason. I'm a horrable singer, and I hate opras. So I would probably rather sit through an Opera show.

Hey Scott, odd question. I would rather sit through an Oprah show because I think that opra is really annoying.

Mission forever: Give God Glory!!!
ok, wow scott....last night you were amazing...you spoke so well... that is a bigstuf worthy lesson...and then this today...wow...it really does make you look closely in on life and wonder why not everything you're doing is being directed to give God glory...oh, Scott i'd like to point out that i've noticed how God has been working in your life because it shows...you reflect God and it is totally amazing...it gives others around you the hope that if they connect with God they may change too...well, to answer the question...i'd have to say that i can't sing so if i did the whole opra thing it'd have to be a spoof, besides, what's more fun than making fun of yourself and a terrible style of music at the same time...if i were in the relaxing, i-could-possibly-get-lucky-and-win-a-prize-on-the-oprah-show mood, then i'd go with that... once again it all comes down to how i'm feeling and what i'm in the mood for...so...i'll see you later....

That's a good thought.. to burn it up rather than to fade away..
But yeah.. i'd think it'd be fun to be on Oprah but only if i had something to say.. but since my life is boring.. most likely i'll never be on it!

I'd definately go with an opra singer because I'm not good at singing high or super low and loud. So it'd be fun watching everyone's reactions in the audience.

Hey scott, I would probably choose to sing. I'm weird I know but I kinda like oprah.

Ahh, definately be in the crowd. I hate being on stage. It's not really a fear, I just don't like being in the limelight.
